A prize giving format to be agreed with BS / Govt for this event Results will be published on the website. Prize money will be repaid to the original booking account/original payment means EXCEPT where monies won exceeds entry payments made - we will need your bank info to be able to pay prize money to you in that instance. In all classes, in the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld in accordance with rule 76.6.1 Clause 75.13 also applied where appropriate. All payments, including prize money, refunds etc will be made to the original booking party within 28 days of the end of the show.
If Covid 19 restrictions permit at time of event our licensed cafe open throughout serving hot/cold snack/meals/drinks. Otherwise an outdoor take away only service will be in place. Please observe distancing protocol on queuing. Toilets will be open with one way access - enter through main foyer and exit via collecting area. PLEASE USE YOUR OWN HORSE BOX FACILITIES IF YOU CAN.
NO BOOKING MADE FOR THIS EVENT MAY BE PRIVATELY SOLD NOR TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER PARTY. CANCELLATIONS All cancellation or withdrawal requests must be by the original booking party using the email address of the original booking transaction(s) and must be sent to office@southviewarena.com. ALTERATIONS TO ENTRIES A move of an entry to another class at the same show which has the same or a lower entry fee may be possible subject to the request being placed in good time (i.e. prior to drawn orders being published) and availability.of space on the day. Where the new class is a lower entry fee than the original class, no refund will be due. Where the fee is higher this will be payable on making the request with late entry admin. fee as appropriate to the 'closing date' stated for event. A substitution of a horse and/or rider (for the same booking party only) may be possible if notified to the mobile Show Secretary by text/phone 07736 108495 at least one hour prior to the Published Class Coursewalk time or by email to office@southviewarena.com prior to the show day preferably. Note this cannot be guaranteed to be accommodated and does not permit 'selling' of entry slots to other parties. On the day, please remember texts do not always show/voicemails are not always received immediately they are sent. Additional HC rounds - may be available to those already competing at the show only and subject to BS rules and there being time available and at the discretion of the Collecting Ring Co-ordinator and the judges. GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS ** PLEASE ALSO REFER TO ‘COVID-19 REGULATIONS’ - note Covid regulations override General Rules (e.g. current collecting ring arrangements) **
The ‘Show Organiser’ as referred to is South View Equestrian Centre Ltd. ‘The Centre’ is SouthView Competition Centre, Winsford Road, Wettenhall, CW7 4DL. ‘The website’ is www.southviewarena.com. ‘The Show’ is any event held at the Centre. The Show Organiser/Show Manager/Staff/Volunteers/Officials and all involved with the organising and running of the Centre and the Show, do not accept liability for any accident, damage, injury, harm, theft or illness occasioned to any horse, pony, rider, handler, owner, groom, spectator, nor to any other person nor animal, nor occurring to property, whatsoever, directly or indirectly at or in connection with the Show.
Competitions - The Show Organiser reserves the right to cancel/amend or change any competition and event structure with prior permission where appropriate from any relevant association to which the event may be affiliated.
Schedule of Competitions – for events affiliated to Governing Bodies (e.g. BD BS) the Centre’s online version of the event is an abbreviation/summary of the competition to be offered. If any discrepancy should occur re. matters which are under the jursidiction of the Governing Body, the version of the schedule of competitions as lodged with the relevant Governing Body/Association at the time of the event occurring will prevail.
For any event, and in the case of BS events in accordance with British Showjumping rules 72.3 (a) and (b) The Show Organiser retains the right to decline/exclude or remove any person/persons or animals from the show or future shows without being required to assign reason or being liable for any compensation.
Mandatory Pre-entry Events: Close of entries/stable bookings etc. - Entries and stable/hook up reservations close at the day and time published on the on line displayed schedule, or when fully subscribed. Except where otherwise covered in individual sponsorship arrangement, all entries and stable/hookup bookings must be made via the online booking system on the website. This system will provide email notification to both competitor and centre of the reservation. It is the responsibility of the entrant/exhibitor to ensure that bookings have been received and are as required. The Show Organiser does not accept responsibility for bookings nor cancellations incorrectly submitted, e.g. sent to incorrect email address etc. nor in any way delayed. Stable and hook up bookings will be accepted/allocated only on full/cleared fund payment of the stated fee. Stables must be occupied by an animal which is appropriately registered with the relevant association/Governing Body for the event and it must also be actively participating in the event in question. Stables may not be used for tack nor other storage nor for animals not participating in the event, except at quieter events and then only by prior arrangement and payment of an agreed fee accordingly.
Refunds for cancelled class entries will be made in accordance with the stipulations of the individual schedule of the event as published on the website’s on-line booking system or otherwise if not specifically stated will be in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 79.5. There will be no refund on stabling and hook up for cancellations made after the published stables closing date/time, which will normally be earlier than the entries closing date/time, regardless of circumstance. A vet certificate/medical certificate will not be deemed necessary for any cancellations. There will be no transfer of any bookings to other events.
All cancellation must be made in person and confirmed, or must be by receipted email prior to the relevant stated closing date/time.
First Aid will be payable at the stated rate shown in the schedule per day. Riders participating in multi-day events and with animals stabled at the centre will be liable for first aid payment for each day of an equine residing at the site.
Dishonoured payments/cards/ Paypal etc. and non-payment by end of event - There will be a non-negotiable standing charge of £20 for each and every dishonoured payment and for accounts not fully settled at the end of the event. All costs incurred by the Show Organiser in recovery of outstanding sums will be payable by the competitor/rider or their responsible parent/guardian in the case of riders under the age of 18, including legal fees, and interest will be payable daily at 8% over the then current Barclays base rate. Riders, owners, etc and any person failing to pay any due account, will not be allowed to attend nor participate in events at the Centre until all sums due are paid in full. An official report of the non-payment/default will be made to the relevant associations/Governing body for their action.
Objections- The judges’ decision is final and any objection to a result or otherwise, or complaint against another competitor, must be formally made in writing to the Show Secretary in complete accordance with rules of the appropriate Association, e.g. British Showjumping Rule 198 for BS affiliated events. For other and nonaffiliated events any objection must be made within 15 minutes of the alleged occurrence with the showSecretary along with an objection fee of £100; if the objection is upheld, the objection fee will be refunded but otherwise is forfeit.
Collecting Rings- All warming up and exercise must be carried out only in the designated areas provided; only combinations entered in the current class will be allowed to use these areas. Standing is not allowed in the collecting rings and riders must ride in single file in the direction instructed on the day (usually on the left rein). One adult helper per combination is allowed in the warm up area at the practice jumps only, and they must be appropriately dressed and competent and enter the ring at their own risk entirely. No bags, rugs etc. nor any other object may be set down anywhere within nor overhanging the warming up areas.
Prizes/Prize Giving – To be awarded in accordance with the individual schedule. The Show Organiser reserves the right to withhold prize money from any person not attending the prize giving presentation. Rugs, other than any as may be awarded in the class itself, may not be worn during prize giving. Prizes will be paid to the original paying party by the original payment means, or other payment means at the Show Organiser’s absolute discretion. Where the payment has been made by cheque, prizes will not be paid out until the cheque is cleared. Where entry is via the online system, prizes may be paid via a refund. All prizes including rosettes, cash or cheque payments or other awards in kind must be collected at the show office on the day of the event; a suitable stamped addressed envelope may be left with the Show Secretary by the competitor for prize payments to be posted in cheque format; else any such prize or award is forfeit and will not be held for subsequent collection nor will it be carried forward to other events.
Refunds of any type will be actioned by the Centre within 28 days of the last day of the event. Dogs- if well behaved are permitted in all areas except the café and the VIP viewing balcony above the café. Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times and must not be allowed to foul the premises. A £50 fine will apply for any waste not bagged and binned immediately. Any loose dogs will be captured and delivered to the local dog pound. The person responsible for the dog at the show will be fully liable for any costs, damage, loss or injury occurring as a result of a loose or inadequately controlled dog. Dogs must not be left tied to wagons and unattended.
Equines must be kept within the control of the owner/rider at all times and may not be left tied to wagons, nor grazed adjacent to the arenas. Stallions / Rigs / Difficult Animals - No person shall allow a Stallion/Rig/Difficult to handle animal for which he/she is in any way responsible e.g. as an owner/groom/lessee/authorised agent or rider, to be at the Centre, or to participate in any Show or activity, without taking adequate precautions to ensure other persons, property and animals are not put at any risk nor occasioned injury nor harm, nor any damage to be incurred. The person responsible for the animal concerned must ensure that they are secure and under control at all times, including within stabling allocated, and they must themselves supply and consistently apply any necessary restraint(s) accordingly, including to stabling provided.
Small children must be accompanied at all times and are not allowed in the horse arenas or standing areas unless mounted and competing in the current class. Prams and pushchairs and babies in arms or baby carriers, are not allowed in the horse arenas nor horse standing areas.
Waste - Stables must be skipped out on departure and waste deposited on the designated muck heap which is for muck only. All other waste, bedding and feed bags, horse box refuse etc. must be taken away or may be placed in the refuse bins at the Centre. Lorries must not be mucked out at the Show. Any muck or other waste seen to be left on the stabling or parking areas or otherwise at the premises other than in bins and areas specifically provided will incur a £50 fine. Bins cannot always be emptied (e.g. during weekends/holidays) and if bins are full, rubbish must be taken home. Portable toilets strictly may not be emptied at the Centre and a £250 fine will apply and the abuser of this rule will be liable for any other losses or costs incurred by the Centre as a result of such tipping. Private hirers be they organisations or private individuals must clear all waste and horse droppings on departure.
Vehicles- The Show Organiser reserves the right to move or remove from the premises any vehicle which is deemed to be causing obstruction, even if locked or unattended. Caravans, mobile accommodation other than a horsebox used to transport competing animals to the event, and camping are not allowed without prior permission and a fee may be payable.
Smoking- Is strictly forbidden in the stable area and in all buildings, including the covered arenas, foyer, horse standing area etc.
Fire- It is recommended that all horseboxes /trailers are fitted with a fire extinguisher of not less than 1 kilo capacity. Gas appliances should be turned off at source when the wagon etc. is not occupied. All electrical equipment in wagons etc attending the centre should be properly PAT tested. Use of barbecues is not permitted. Electrical hookup is available on payment of a fee and subject to strict rules of usage which will be stated for each individual event.
Challenge 21 SouthView is a licensed premises and sale of alcohol and cigarettes will be made in accordance with legislation. Any purchaser appearing to be under 21 must provide acceptable valid ID, i.e. a current passport or driving license. The Centre may refuse to serve alcohol to any person at its absolute discretion and without explanation.
Behaviour - Any person misbehaving, causing damage, disruption or affray or being rude or abusive to other attendees at the Show, including staff, officials and helpers, will be required to leave the premises and will notbe permitted to participate any further in the Show. Parents are deemed responsible for the behaviour of their children, or children in their care, at the Show and are expected to provide supervision at all times accordingly.
Farrier & Vet - the services of a Farrier & Vet will not be provided on the showground at national level events. Contact information for local professionals is available at the show via the Secretary’s Office (which may be a remote telephone service for pre-enry / drawn order events); owners or persons responsible for the animal/animals must make their own arrangements and will be liable to pay costs directly.
Photographs or video/dvd footage taken at the Show may be used by the Show Organiser for promotional purposes and copyright in all such material shall belong to the Show Organiser.
Data Protection Data is retained solely for the purposes of offering and promoting the services of the venue. SouthView does not share personal data with any third parties. You may ask to be removed from our records at any time by calling the show office or emailing office@southviewarena.com.
Results & Photo Display: Results will be posted at the centre and also on the website as well as being from time to time reported on Social Media. Similarly photos may also be displayed. If you wish your result to be obscured or your photo not to be used, please advise via email to office@southviewarena.com or include in notes at the time of making your entry
COVID 19 REGULATIONS FOR EVENTS AT SOUTHVIEW EQUESTRIAN CENTRE
AAAA NUMBER ONE RULE **DO NOT ATTEND THE VENUE IF YOU OR ANY OF YOUR PERMITTED HELPERS, OR ANYONE THAT ANY OF YOU HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH IN THE LAST SEVEN DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT, HAVE SHOWN ANY SYMPTOMS OF THE COVID-19 VIRUS, NO MATTER HOW SLIGHT.**
The following rules are additional to or, where applicable, superceding BS Standard Regulations and will apply to all shows until further notice. Please check back here for updates before every event.
A to Z of Showjumping at SouthView under Covid-19 Restrictions
ARENAS Warm up arena is limited to 5 combinations at once who will enter and depart to a declared timetable. One SouthView staff member will alter warm up fences – the rider’s grooms/helpers are STRICTLY NOT permitted to enter the warm up ring.
ARRIVAL Please halt at the Arrivals Steward for your entry to be checked and to be parked. Only those rider/horses pre-entered and those persons listed on the entry will be permitted entry to the showground – otherwise your party will be asked to leave and no refunds will be due. (See also GROOMS)
ATTENDEES PERMITTED Actively competing rider plus one helper per horse to a maximum of six persons (as per Government permitted group size stipulations.) No Spectators (See also – CHILDREN)
BELONGINGS Please do not hang coats bags etc on fences or other structures and be sure to take all of your belongings home with you.
CARS Not allowed
CHILDREN Please do not bring non-competing children to the venue/event unless you have absolutely no alternative in which case they must be accompanied by a responsible adult from their household at all times, or remain in your horsebox if there is no one to supervise them.CLASS ENTRY Pre-entry is mandatory with limited entry numbers permitted and must be actioned online via the website www.southviewarena.com/events.asp Entry is not guaranteed to be accepted. If there are more entries than can be accommodated within covid-19 procedural restrictions, last to book will be advised and may elect to be immediately refunded entry and first aid or remain on a wait list in case of withdrawals.

COOL DOWN As shown on map and available to competing combinations within their warm up grouping, with entry directly from competition arena only. Please keep your distance at all times – as per Warm Up Arena Rules. Re-entry after exiting at Warm Up Arena end not allowed.
COURSE WALK Ten minutes allowed to times stated on draw. Open to riders only and distancing must be observed. Jumps must not be touched.
DISTANCE Government specified social distance must be respected and maintained at all times.
DOGS Please do not bring dogs to the venue/event unless you have absolutely no alternative in which case they must be on a short lead held by a responsible adult at all times or remain in your horsebox. General rules re fouling stand. Dogs not allowed in any horse area including Cool Down space.

PARKING Horse boxes must park as directed by the parking stewards maintaining 3 metre gaps between vehicles. Anyone not parking as directed will be required to leave and refunds will not be due.
PERSONAL PROTECTION Sanitiser is available as marked on the map in Appendix I Attendees must bring their own protective gloves. Face masks/covers are advised but are not obligatory Attendees must obey all staff direction and rules.
PRIZE GIVING There will be no prize giving ceremony.
PRIZE MONEY Will be paid back to the original booker to their original booking means except where that sum is greater than the original payment made, in which case payment will be by cheque or bank transfer.PURPOSE The purpose of the event is to facilitate participation in competitive affiliated showjumping - it is not a meeting place in which to socialise. All attendees must abide by all rules at all times. Anyone deemed to be breaking any rule will be required to immediately leave the showground. (No refunds will be payable.)

Each combination will only be permitted to warm up / compete at the times allotted to them. (as qualification at the event is necessary for some classes at this event, draws will be published on the day prior after the first day)
SUBSTITUTION A substitution of horse and/or rider may be possible if notified to the mobile Show Secretary by text/phone 07736 108495 or by email to office@southviewarena.com at least one hour prior to the Published Class Course Walk time. SYMPTOMS If you yourself feel unwell whilst attending the show or you observe anyone who appears to be unwell at the showground please do not approach but report immediately to the Secretary or to the ARRIVALS STEWARD at end of entry driveway or to any member of SouthView staff Anyone appearing to be showing symptoms of the Covid-19 virus will be required to immediately leave the showground. (No refunds will be payable.) If you require medical help please make this known to the SECRETARY (07736 108495) or the ARRIVALS STEWARD located at lorry park end of driveway
