Have a Go Dressage - PYO
Info:
You pick to ride any short or long arena test, no show dress or plaits required and have a few extra minutes around the arena with a patient judge
before the bell rings- perfect for young, spooky or in-experienced horses and riders.

Payment is secure and it goes directly to Sparsholt College.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.
Entry Fee: £14 per class.
Late entries: An additional £5 per class, if space.

Winners of all classes receive a free entry to a future show (in line with BD starters rules)
Sparsholt Unaffiliated Championship 2021
Qualifiers for Sparsholt Unaffiliated Championship which is
held at our Festival of Dressage 25th- 27th June 2021.
2 sheets of +60% at one level to qualify. Generous prizes with
mounted prizegivings, sashes, trade stands, stabling, bar and
all the feel of a championship show.

Our shows are qualifiers for The Sunshine Tour Championships held at The All England
Jumping Course, Hickstead each September.
The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Dressage from Intro to Elementary, Show Jumping from Lead Rein
to 1.05m; Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans, plus many more,
Eventers Challenge from 60cm through to 1m.
Qualification: 1st – 4th in dressage, show jumping & showing and 1st-6th in eventers
challenges.
Bring your Personal Qualification Form available from www.sunshinetour.co.uk or ask the
Secretary for a ‘Wild Card’.

Cricklands Qualifiers
For riders who achieve 58% or above in Prelim, Novice or Elementary
• The Championship is held at the David Broome Centre in October
• Prelim and Novice restricted section no riders above BD group 7 or 8 and horses or
ponies with any BD points
• Prelim Open section no riders above BD group 6,7 or 8 and horses or ponies with any
BD points
• Novice Open section no riders above BD group 6,7 or 8 and horses with more
than 49 BD points
• Elementary section no riders above BD group 6,7 or 8 and horses or ponies
with more than 124 BD points
• Please note that cards may only be collected on the day and will not be backdated
• All classes are open to all, but please be respectful and compete H/C if you are a
‘professional’ to give others a chance
• It shall be deemed a condition of entry that the organisers, the landowner and his agents shall
not be held responsible for any loss, injury or damage to competitors, onlookers, their property,
servants or horses and ponies howsoever caused on the premises
• Riders must wear riding hats to current approved British Standards, with the chinstrap properly
fastened at all times when mounted. Helmets must have plain, dark coloured covers
• All competitors have a responsibility to ensure that they and their horse are ft and at an appropriate
standard to compete in the event
• NO DOGS are allowed on the college premises due to College Farm Policy
• NO SMOKING is allowed around the arenas, there are designated areas in the lorry park
• The Organiser reserves the right to cancel any show, alter classes and refuse any entries without
explanation. In the event of cancellation, refunds will be made less £3.00 per entry form to cover
administration costs
• All horses and ponies must be 4 years old or over
• Horses may be ridden once only in each class, with the exception of the PYO
• No lungeing permitted
• Please use the bins provided for litter and droppings
• In the interests of health and safety, everyone must take all reasonable precautions
to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and obey the instructions of the Organiser
and Stewards
• For the avoidance of doubt and unless explicitly stated to the contrary, medical facilities will be
limited to standard NHS accident and emergency callout
• Horses and ponies tied up outside horse boxes or trailers must not be left unsupervised
• Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult
• All classes will be judged under current BD rules
• No refunds, substitutions or transfers can be made after entries close
• Professional Riders—in the spirit of the Unafliated Dressage Championships, professional riders
who receive remuneration for training riders/horses and/or competing clients’ horses are not
allowed to qualify. There is a tick box on the entry form for professional riders
• First aiders on site, vet on call.
