• British Novice:
Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.
a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 125 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 316.6.
b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2016 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British Novice Final - in accordance with Rule 316.6
Qualifies for: Senior British Novice Championship - Second Round. Qualifying period yearly 1st May - 30th April inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Senior British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in the Senior British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings
for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification.
If combined with an open:
In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded.
In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters.
• 90cm Open:
For registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

For registered horses to be ridden by Full, Associate or Junior Members excluding any rider listed on the British Showjumping Gold League as of 31st March 2019 (assigned for the qualifying Period) and any horse/rider combination listed on the British Showjumping Silver League of 31st March 2019 (assigned for the qualifying Period). Riders who have ever competed as a team member of any Senior International Team (4* or 5* Nations Cup in the last 10 years, World, European Championships & Olympic Games) are not eligible. Pony Riders, Children, Juniors and Young Riders who have ever competed in Nations Cup/International Team Events and European Championships in the last five years are not eligible (excluding Veterans and Para Teams).
Qualifies for: 95cms National Amateur Second Rounds
Qualifying period: 1st September - 31st August inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those horse/rider combinations which jump clear in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least five 95cm National Amateur First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in the respective height classes at the National Amateur Championships. Horses which jump clear in the first round followed by a clear round in the jump off, in at least one 95cm National Amateur First Round Competition held in the qualifying period, will qualify to compete in the National Amateur 95cm Second Round competition.
British Showjumping Boots / Leg Protection Ruling applies to this class, in accordance with Rule 102.15. Failure to comply will incur disqualification.

Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in the Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). (b) For all horses born on or after 1st January 2014, irrespective of Points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Newcomers Final - in accordance with Rule 312.6.
Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Newcomers Second Rounds. Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive.
If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.
• 1.10m Open:
For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.
• All horse/rider combinations eligible for the 1.10m National Amateur First Round will receive dual qualification of double clears, in either section of a Newcomer - first round/1.10m open competition. Held at Senior Category 1 shows only.

Open to registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members who are not listed on the British Showjumping Gold League as of 31st March 2020.
Qualifies for: British Showjumping National Championships.
Qualification period: 1st June-31st May.
Numbers to qualify: Two double clears (subject to revision). Qualification is horse/rider combination.
If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.
1st Aid £3.00 per day
Affiliated shows are required to repay 50 % of the entry fees in respect of all entry cancellations which are received by the Show Organiser not later than 48 hours before noon of the day on which the first affiliated competition of the show is scheduled to start except in those circumstances outlined in Rule 79.5.
Entries in all affiliated classes are confined to horses registered with the British Showjumping rule 79.
No responsibility will be accepted by the organisers for anything that may happen to competitors, onlookers or their property, servants or anyone in connection with the event. It shall be considered a condition of entry that each entrant agrees to indemnify the organisers against any legal action arising thereto.
The expense of any veterinary services rendered either on or after the show must be born by the competitor or owner of stock.
The decision of the judges is final.
If any person wishes to lodge a complaint, this must be done within 30 minutes of the incident along with a deposit of £50 (which will be returned if the complaint is upheld).
The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, amend the details of the schedule should it become necessary with prior permission from British Showjumping, or to cancel any class with insufficient entries.
In accordance with British Showjumping rule 82.20, no member shall allow a stallions for which he/she is responsible as owner, leesee, authorised agent or rider to compete (or being prepared to compete) without taking adequate precautions to ensure other members of the public are not put at risk.
In the event of insufficient starters, British Showjumping rule 76.6 will apply.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and must be cleaned up after!
British Showjumping membership cards must be presented at the time of entry.
British Showjumping tickets to ride are available at a cost of £6 each
Prize money will not be paid until payment has been received for entry and must be collected on the day. Any prize money not collected will be forfeited.
Children must not be left on the premises unattended.
If you are competing at Crofton Manor and have travelled alone, you must notify the Secretary and leave contact details in case of emergency.
Horse and Ponies must not be left tied to the trailer/Horsebox unattended.
Stables must be left clean and tidy with banks up. Only stables booked may be used.
Rule 164.1a will be applied (45 second countdown will be in operation)
All competitors should make sure that when at the event they are carrying a valid passport for their horse (For Identification)
Any point not covered may be referred to the secretary, whose decision is final.
Drawn orders will take place at 4pm the day prior to the competition, withdrawals after this time will be charged the full entry fee. Drawn orders will be posted on the website by 5pm the day prior to the competition www.croftonmanor.co.uk
Pre entry and drawn order – Entries may be accepted on the day before 9am, providing pre entries for each class are less than 60. Any entries taken on the day must compete first in the drawn order. Once entries reach 60 in total on the day, before 9am the class will be closed.
Pony riders may not compete in classes above 90cms in the first round before the calendar year in which their eighth birthday is reached.
Medical cover to be in accordance with rule 73.8e
