Rule 314. DRAWN ORDER
Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower
prizes will be withheld. Rule - 76.6
Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.
a) For horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with
Rule 314.6.
b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2014 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear
qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the
Discovery Final - in accordance with Rule 314.6. Riders who have ever competed as a team member of any Senior
International Team (4* or 5* Nations Cup in the last 10 years, World, European Championships & Olympic Games)
are not eligible.
Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round.
Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jumpoff, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in the Second
Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the
normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear
round qualification. If combined with an open:
In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the Discovery section will be split with
two sets of prize money awarded.
In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters.

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.
(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 375 points. Four double clears will qualify - in
accordance with rule 312.6
(b) For all horses born on or after 1st January 2013, irrespective of Points. Horses will only be eligible for double
clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the
Newcomers Final - in accordance with Rule 312.6.
Qualifies for: Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round.
Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the
jump-off, in at least four Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers First Round competitions in any qualifying period,
will qualify to compete in a Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round, irrespective of their placings for
prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). To obtain a
double clear qualification, even if the horse is the only clear round, it must jump a jump-off round and jump clear to
gain a double clear round.
If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

accordance with rule 310.6
(b) For all registered horses born on or after 1 January 2012, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double
clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same
calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify.
Qualifies for: The Senior Foxhunter Second Round.
Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jumpoff, in at least four Senior Foxhunter First Round competitions in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in a
Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money. Horses in the class must go into the jump off and go
clear to gain its double clear round qualification.
Those horses that have competed in the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2019 are not eligible for qualification to
the 2020 Championship.

Payment Details & Event Fees
Competitors may book in advance or on the day subject to availability.
We will allow entries to be kept open until the end of the show only where payment details can be provided. Entry fees will be deducted at the end of each day. (Does not apply for pre-entry only classes)
You can enter using a Secure Online Entry System:
Payment is secure and it goes directly Wellington Riding.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.
First Aid £4 per rider/ per day.
Entries made on the day, will be subject to an additional £3 late entry fee per class. During the winter months we are restricted by the light and entries often fill up before the close of our pre-entry deadline. If you are planning to make an entry on the day please call in advance to ensure that there is space.
All prize money is paid by BACS to the rider. Bank account number and sort code must be provided for this purpose. Prize money is usually paid a few days following the close of the show.
In line with BS rule 79.5 cancellations received by noon 48 hours before the first day of the competition will have 50% of the entry fees refunded. After this time, no refunds will be given

IMPORTANT – Rules pertaining to the Health & Safety of all persons at Wellington Riding.
i) All competitors should wear a correctly fastened hat to the current BSI Standards at all times when mounted on the show ground.
ii) All dogs should be kept on a lead at all times.
iii) All horses or ponies, when outside the arena, should be moved at the walk only, to ensure the safety of all spectators and pedestrians.
iv) Children under the age of 16 years should be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 yrs, who will be held responsible for their behaviour and welfare.
v) Please note that flash photography is strictly forbidden. Mobile phones should be switched off during competitions. Smoking is prohibited anywhere on site
vi) For safety reasons, the gate across the main driveway must be kept closed at all times.
