Please note that in accordance with the amendment to BS Rule 310 all 7yr old horses are now eligible regardless of
points won, but to qualify the horse must be 7yrs old in the year of the Final ie 2020. Therefore any horses which are
7yrs old from 1st September 2019 to 31st December 2019 and have won more than 700 points are unable to qualify
in any qualifiers held from 1st September 2019 to 31st December 2019. Qualification does not pass down the line.

Qualifies for: Winter Grade C Final at the Spring Championship Show, to be held at Addington Equestrian Centre.
Qualifying period: There will be 10 qualifying competitions. Qualifiers to be held at the Winter Classic Shows.
Numbers to qualify: Top eight horses to qualify, disregarding those already qualified, and horses ridden by riders
who have already qualified two horses. Riders may only ride two horses in the Final.
Horses which are disregarded which otherwise would have qualified may be substituted in the Final for horses
already qualified by the same rider, subject to Rule 290.17 and 79.4.

Entries may possibly be accepted before 9.00am providing that the number of entries are less than 60 (with the
exception of County shows). Once entries reach 60 before 9.00am the class will be closed. Any entries taken on the

The organisers and land owners will not be held responsible for any incident or injury to riders, owners, spectators or any person or property whatsoever, however caused. It is a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify the promoters against any legal action arising from such incident. All reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure the health and safety of persons present. For these measures to be effective, all persons must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all the officials and stewards. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years, who will be held responsible for their behaviour and welfare. All classes listed in the schedule will be judged in accordance with the current BSJA Rule Book and all classes are confined to horses/ponies registered with the BSJA and must be owned and ridden by members in accordance with Rule 79. Entries will only be accepted with payment By making an entry it is acknowledged that riders are taking part in a risk sport and that they are competent to ride at the level of competition that they have entered. No member shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessee, authorized agent or rider, to compete or be prepared to compete, without taking adequate precautions to ensure other embers or the public are not put at risk or injury (Rule 82.21). Stallions are not allowed to compete on the “Ticket to Ride” scheme. Competitors must wear the correct riding clothes including protective head covering. Any person on the showground must wear protective headgear whilst riding. Refunds will only be given in accordance with BSJA rules. Some prize money may be withheld under rule 76.6 Once a horse has been included in a drawn order class, there will be no refunds, amendments, substitutions or alterations. The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry without giving a reason. Rule 164.1 will be applied There will be a surcharge levied or paramedic cover – this will be clearly stated on the entry form.
