Show Information

Classes will be run under BSJA Table A single phase competition rules. The course is in two parts (min of 12 fences). Faults are accumulated over both parts. The second part is against the clock. The competitor jumps the whole course unless they are eliminated.  Winner is the rider with the fewest (or zero) faults in the first section with the fastest time in the second section.

 

·       This show is a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour Championships held at The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead from Thursday 17th – Sunday 20th September 2020. The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Dressage from Intro to Elementary, Show Jumping from Lead Rein to 1.05m; Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans, plus many more, Eventer’s Challenge from 60cm through to 1m.

 

·       Qualification: 1st – 4th place. Qualification does not pass down the line

 

·       Bring your own Qualification Form available from www.sunshinetour.co.uk or ask the Secretary if they have any spares available.

UK RIDERS 

DRESSAGE, SHOWJUMPING AND SHOWING 

CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020

The UK Riders Championships 2020 is a perfect opportunity for unaffiliated combinations of horse and
rider to take part in a UK National Championship, professionally run, within an encouraging, fun and supportive environment.

 On attaining the relevant qualifying criteria and becoming a Member of UK Riders, competitors will then be eligible to take part in the UK Riders National Championship .

Three disciplines are on offer this year, Dressage, Showjumping and Showing. 

The Dressage Challenge offers tests from Intro to Elementary and the Showjumping Challenge
offers heights start at 40cm up to and including 1m.  Showing consists of both In Hand & Ridden classes with a wide-ranging selection of classes.

The Challenge is split into two sections, Pony, (14.2hh & under) and Horse, (above 14.2hh). 

UK RIDERS CHAMPIONSHIPS
To compete in the Championships, you need to qualify and must become a member of UK Riders. Qualification is a two-phase process.

Phase 1: On attaining the relevant qualifying criteria (see 
Dressage Rules and Showjumping Rules), you need to become a member of UK Riders. You are then eligible take part in in the UK Riders National Championship.

Phase 2:  To enter, you need to find the UK Riders Championships on the Equo Events website.

Special Classes

Bozeat will be running a Member Point system awarded at all Bozeat Events. Member Points are then accrued throughout the year as follows: 1st highest placed member 6 points 2nd highest placed member 5 points 3rd highest placed member 4 points 4th highest placed member 3 points 5th highest placed member 2 points 6th highest placed member 1 point Happy Riding

Withdrawals/Refunds

REFUND POLICY: 100% refund will be given for withdrawals before Closing Date.
No refund after the Closing date unless replaced in which case a refund will be subject to a £4 admin fee.
Entries received after Closing date will not be eligible for a refund.
In the event of illness or injury No refunds will be given without the production of a Vet or GP letter

Show Jumping Rules

 

·       It is a condition of entry that each competitor has read, understood and agreed to abide by these rules.

·       This competition will be run in accordance with British Riding Club Rules. 

·       All classes will be run as a BSJA Single Phase Competition, a course in two parts with second part timed. All will jump against the clock immediately after their first round, even with faults unless eliminated. Exception to BSJA rules is that it is 3 refusals for elimination. Winner is the rider with the fewest (or zero) faults with the fastest time in the second section

·       The organisers & landowners do not accept any liability for damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators or personal property

·       Hard hats to current BSI Standards must be worn at all times when mounted

·       The Organizers reserve the right to alter, add to or cancel any Class, and to refuse any entry without stating a reason.

·       No Misuse of the Whip, equipment or Practise fences will be allowed

·       Practice fences jump must not be higher than the current class height  

·       Horses/Ponies must be 4yrs old and over

·       Horses must not be left unattended whilst tied up to your lorry/trailer

·       The Judge’s decision is final.

·       Objections must be made within 15 minutes of the offence and must be accompanied by £15, which will be refunded if the objection is sustained.

·       Entries taken Online in advance or On the Day with a £2 surcharge per entry

·       Please remove all droppings/hay from the lorry park

·       An adult must supervise children at all times

·       All dogs must be kept on the lead and under control at all times

·       Hair above the hair collar

·       PHOTOGRAPHER ATTENDING - if you do not wish your child to be photographed, please notify the Secretary upon entry

·       You do not need to be a member of a British Riding Club to enter this competition but it is strongly recommended that if you are not you carry some form of 3rd Party Public Liability Insurance.
