Rule 314. DRAWN ORDER Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes will be withheld. Rule - 76.6 • Discovery: a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 314.6. b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2015 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Discovery Final - in accordance with Rule 314.6. Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jumpoff, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in the Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. If combined with an open: In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the Discovery section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded. In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters. • 1.00m Open: For registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes will be withheld. Rule - 76.6 • Newcomers: (a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 375 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 312.6 (b) For all horses born on or after 1st January 2014, irrespective of Points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Newcomers Final - in accordance with Rule 312.6. Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Newcomers Second Rounds. Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive. If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money. • 1.10m Open: For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

Rule - 76.6 For registered horses in grade C which have not won a total of 700 points,(unless Age Rule applies), to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. The first 8 horses qualify for the final, held at the Blue Chip Winter Championships. Qualification does not pass down the line. Qualifiers must jump clear in the first round. There will be dual qualification of double clears for the Equitop GLME Senior Foxhunter second round. (Age rule applies) Please note that in accordance with the amendment to BS Rule 310 all 7yr old horses are now eligible regardless of points won, but to qualify the horse must be 7yrs old in the year of the Final ie 2020. Therefore any horses which are 7yrs old from 1st September 2019 to 31st December 2019 and have won more than 700 points are unable to qualify in any qualifiers held from 1st September 2019 to 31st December 2019. Qualification does not pass down the line. Riders who qualify must submit their details at www.bluechipchamps.co.uk to register their qualification.

Rule 304 & 284/304. Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes will be withheld. Rule - 76.6. For registered horses in Grades B&C to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior members. This is a handicap class, the Grade B start height is 1.30m and the Grade C start height is 1.25m. The first 8 horses qualify for the final, held at the Blue Chip Winter Championships. Qualification does not pass down the line. Qualifiers must jump a clear in the first round. Qualified Grade C horses which upgrade after the qualification will compete in the Grade C section of the final. However, if they qualify again as a Grade B again, they will compete in the Grade B section of the final. There will be dual qualification of double clears for the National B&C Handicap Championship. Riders who qualify must submit their details at www.bluechipchamps.co.uk to register their qualification.

Terms & Conditions

Entries are confined to registered horses and are to be ridden and owned by members of British Show Jumping in accordance with Rule 79.
• The first two classes at every Hartpury British Showjumping competition are pre-entry and drawn order, entries must be received by 3:00pm the Friday before the competition.
• Entries may be limited and may not be taken after the start of the class.
• Entries can be made online – www.hartpury.ac.uk/business-and-commercial/equine-events-and-results/ or via post. Telephone entries will not be accepted. E-mail entries will have a £2 admin fee.
• The committee reserves the right to alter, add or cancel any class, and to refuse any entry without stating a reason.
• In accordance with Rule 76.6, in the event of insufficient starters, lower prize money may be withheld.
• The organisers and landowners do not accept any responsibility or liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to any person, animal or property whatsoever arising out of, or at, this event.
• No misuse of the whip, equipment or practice fences will be allowed.
• All dogs must be kept on leads.
• All competitors are required to wear headgear that complies with the highest current safety standard.

Stallions
• Competitors attention is drawn to Rule 82-Conduct of Members. It is expected that competitors abide by this rule at all times when on the show ground.
• Rule 82.21. No Member of British Showjumping shall allow a stallion for which he is responsible as owner, lease, authorised agent or rider, to attend a show, compete or be prepared to compete in any show jumping competition without taking adequate precautions to ensure other horses/ponies, competitors and members of the public are not put at risk of injury.
Stallion owners/riders are also asked to note and comply with rule 102.11.
