CROSS COUNTRY ~ All tracks are designed to be straightforward and inviting, and the smaller classes are suitable for first timers. 40cms class may include knock down fences. Leadrein/helpers are allowed in 40cms class only. Water will be included in all classes.

 

COURSE WALK ~ The course will be available for walking from 2pm on Saturday 20th July 2019. The gates will be closed & there will be no access before this time. No dogs will be allowed on the course at any time. The course may be walked on the day of the event with due care and attention to any horses on course.

 

NOTICES ~ Bibs will not be provided; a paper number will be issued on the day. Failure to collect your number will result in elimination.

 

EQUINE INFLUENZA ~ All horses must be up to date with their flu vaccs, either their annual vaccination, or the first 2 of their primary course plus 7 days. All passports will be checked when collecting numbers. Failure to show a correct passport or incorrect vaccinations will result in elimination with no refund.

Payment Details & Event Fees

ENTRIES ~ CLOSING DATE 18th July 2019. Internet entries can be made at www.horsearenas.co.uk/events.htm. To enter via BACS please contact the secretary. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT FULL PAYMENT. Late entries and entries on the day may be accepted after closing date at £5 extra.

 

ASHWOOD MEMBERS ~ Enter via email & BACS for discount. Email ashwoodevents@hotmail.com with Class, Horse & Rider (junior/senior). A reply with BACS details will be sent as confirmation of receipt. Payment must be received before closing date of entries.

PRIZES ~ In Kind for all classes. Rosettes to 6th place.

CATERING ~ Hot and cold food will be available throughout the event.

Withdrawals/Refunds

WITHDRAWALS & REFUNDS ~ No refunds will be issued unless the entry can be replaced from the waitlist. A waiting list will be kept for all classes which fill. No substitutions are allowed.

 

SUBSTITUTIONS ~ If substituting either a horse or rider there is a £5 admin charge. Changing both horse & rider in the same entry qualifies as a whole new entry & must be paid in full.

Terms & Conditions

HEALTH & SAFETY ~ The organiser of this event has taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of every person present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all officials and stewards connected with this event. The organiser does not insure the rider, your horse or your tack and equipment. You are strongly advised to have in place your own adequate personal accident insurance at all times. 

 

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY ~ Save for death or injury by the negligence of the organiser or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, Ashwood Equestrian Ltd, for themselves, their servants, agents, employees and all those connected with the Horse Trials do not accept liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury, illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, vehicles, their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or statutory duty in any way whatsoever of themselves, their servants, agents, employees and all those connected with the Horse Trials or otherwise. 

 

GENERAL RULES

1. The Event will be run in conjunction with BE Rules 2019 unless stated in this schedule.

2. All classes are open to juniors or seniors riding horses or ponies.

3. Riders may only enter a maximum of 3 horses per day.

4. Horses/Ponies must be 4 years old or older. 

5. Hard hats upto the current British Standard must be worn at all times when mounted. No fixed peaks allowed.

6. Body protectors, BETA Level 3 (purple label) 2000 or 2009 label are compulsory.  Air jackets may be worn over a body protector. Medical armbands strongly advised.

7. WATCHES capable of being started, stopped & recording time elapsed are forbidden.

8. Any horse/pony considered to be unsound, unfit or unhealthy by a Judge, the Organiser or the Technical Advisor will be excluded from the competition without refund of entry. 

9. No horseboxes to be mucked out on site. 

10. Scoring will be worked out on penalties. There will be an optimum time on the cross country course, penalties for which will be included in the score. 

11. It is compulsory that every person at the venue who is under the age of 18 years of age is accompanied by a responsible adult. 

12. No dogs will be allowed in or around any of the arenas or on the cross country course, they must stay in the lorry park or preferably remain at home. Please clean up after you dogs AND TAKE YOUR POO BAGS HOME.  

13. The Organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry and to remove anyone from the course at any time without giving a reason. 

14. The event may be cancelled without notice due to adverse weather. In the event of adverse weather it is recommended that you check the website www.horsearenas.co.uk for any announcements or call 07565 554958. In the unlikely event of abandonment, entries may be carried over to a future event or refunded minus £5 admin fee.

15. The judges decision is final.
