Your On Horse Assessment
Andrew has worked for the last ten years in close collaboration with Team GB and trainers of riders and horses in all disciplines. In particular his work with dressage riders has been one of the critical factors affecting their performance at the highest level of competition. Using the TESTT system, he has developed a unique method of assessing imbalances and weaknesses which cause many riding issues and can lead to musculoskeletal pain.
The assessment, centred on you, aims to identify your riding weaknesses and imbalances. Why should we do this? Consider for example your performance, do you?
• Collapse on one side?
• Feel better on one rein compared to the other?
• Fix with one arm?
• Prefer to turn to one side?
• Have too much weight on one part of the saddle?
• Always run out to the same side?
• Fall behind the movement?
• Have constant back pain?
If any to the above examples apply to you then a personal plan could help you correct any rider muscle imbalance which may be causing this. Following the assessment a comprehensive rehabilitation/exercise plan will be suggested for you based on an app provided by Andy.
