Held over two rounds. Second round to be over a shortened course. The performance score is calculated by adding together for each competitor his/her faults and his/her time faults for the round. A style score, is given for each jumping effort, based on a range of 1-10 (10 being excellent) which are then added together to give the style score for each competitor.
The competitor’s first round score is calculated by subtracting the performance score from the style score for each rider. All competitors, other than those who have been eliminated, retired or disqualified in the first round, will qualify to move forward to the second round. The score for the second round is calculated in the same way as the first.
The rider's final score is calculated by adding the first and second round scores together. The competitor with the highest total score is placed highest and lower places are placed according to their final score in descending order. In the event of equality of final score those placed equal will divide the prize money.

For registered ponies to be ridden by Junior Members. The course is divided into two sections. The first or power section consists of five to seven obstacles of progressively increasing severity designed to test power and precision at each obstacle individually. This section is jumped as an Accumulator competition in accordance with Rule 274 not against the clock with a time limit of two minutes. On completion of the power section the bell will be rung if the competitor has NOT scored the maximum possible number of points over this section. The competitor must then retire. If the bell is not rung, the competitor proceeds straight to the second, or speed, section of the course. This consists of six to eight obstacles to be jumped under Table A4 or Table C. Speed 400m per minute outdoors and 350m per minute indoors. Ponies, 350m per minute indoors and outdoors. The start and finish must be indicated separately for each section. Finish of power section to be start of speed section. Automatic timing is only obligatory for the speed section. The competition is decided by faults and time over the speed section. In the event of insufficient competitors reaching the speed section, minor placings are decided by the highest number of points scored over the power section. If no competitor
reaches the speed section and in the event of equality of points over the power section, there will be a jump-off over the speed section to decide the winner. For registered ponies to be ridden by Junior Members. This competition is open to all, but for qualification purposes, those pony/rider combinations that have been placed in a Winter JA Classic or Pony Show Jumper of the Year will not be eligible to compete in the final.
Qualifies for: The British Showjumping National Championships
Qualifying period 1st July-30th June.
Numbers to qualify: Two double clears to qualify (subject to revision). Qualification is pony/rider combination. British Showjumping Boots / Leg Protection Ruling applies to this class, in accordance with Rule 102.15. Failure to comply will incur disqualification.

CLOSING DEADLINES Closing Dates: Stables/hookup – 23/3/2019 entries - 30/3/2019 NOTE STABLING AND ENTRIES MAY CLOSE EARLIER IF FULLY SUBSCRIBED The above dates will still apply as regards cancellation and refund policy as below. *entries for classes requiring qualification at show accepted up to 3 PM of day prior to class All cancellations prior to the commencement of the show must be by email to office@southviewarena.com (and you must have received an email receipt acknowledgement and/or reply); after start of the show cancellation of classes may be by email, as above, or in person at the Show Office for which a cancellation receipt will be issued.
Stables and Hook up: if cancelled prior to STABLES/HOOKUP closing deadline: refunded less £5 admin fee per booking transaction, or per cancellation transaction. Stables or hook up cancelled after STABLES/HOOKUP closing deadline: strictly NO REFUND IS PAYABLE, regardless of circumstance. Neither private resale nor exchange of stables or hookup is permitted. Boxes will only be allocated for the horses/ponies and account holder as specified in the original booking and registration numbers must be provided. Bookings for which no class entries are received for the pony/account holder specified by the class entries closing date will be deemed to be cancelled after closing and no refund will be due. * STABLES MUST BE OCCUPIED BY A HORSE/PONY COMPETING AT THE SHOW ON THE ACCOUNT OF THE BOOKING PARTY AND MAY NOT BE USED FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE * !!!PLEASE DO NOT BOOK STABLES FOR OTHERS – THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOCATED!!! PLEASE INCLUDE REQUESTS TO BE STABLED NEAR A FRIEND IN THE NOTES FACILITY ON THE BOOKING SYSTEM AND WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO OBLIGE (NOTE: PRIORITY OF ALLOCATION ORDER WOULD THEN BE PER THE LATER OF THE BOOKINGS MADE) SouthView have the right to resell boxes at their sole discretion and this does not in any way affect refund entitlement. Vets/medical certificates are not required.
Class Entries: if cancelled prior to the stated CLASS ENTRIES closing deadline, entry fees refunded in full provided the rider still participates at the show, otherwise a £5 admin fee will be deducted per booking transaction or per cancellation transaction; if class entries are cancelled after CLASS ENTRIES closing deadline but prior to the online publishing of a drawn order (or: prior to 6pm of the day prior to the class for non-drawn order classes) 50% of entry fees refunded; after publishing of the drawn order for drawn order classes, and after the start of the class (i.e. first combination in the ring) for non-drawn order classes, NO REFUND IS DUE regardless of circumstance. Vets/medical certificates are not required.
ALL ENTRIES/BOOKINGS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY PAYMENT INCLUDING FIRST AID via the ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM see www.southviewarena.com/events.asp Payment can be made by debit or credit card, or by Paypal account Telephone and emailed bookings and entries WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED Online booking fee is £1.50 per complete transaction including VAT and is levied by the booking system provider, MRL - this is not refundable. Valid refunds, including those payable as a result of prize money won, will be made as per the original payment means and will be actioned as soon as possible and at latest within 28 days of the last day of the event.
