Country Course: The Cross Country Course will be open for inspection from approx 2.00pm on the Friday before the event.

HORSES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE BEEN VACCINATED WITHIN THE LAST 6 MONTHS - PASSPORTS WILL BE CHECKED BY THE SECRETARY ON ARRIVAL AT SNOWBALL FARM

The competition is guided by BE Rules.  Competitors should make themselves aware of the rules.

Entries close 5pm Saturday one week before the competition after which late entries may be taken subject to availability. 
There will be no entries on the day except for clear round Show Jumping.

Dressage: Dressage will be run on Grass. Dressage tests may be commanded. 
Cross Country Course: The Cross Country Course will be open for inspection from approx 2.00pm on the Friday before the event.
Horses/ponies must be 5yrs or older except for Mini and Minimus classes where they must be at least 4yrs old.
Horses must be over 137vm in height.  Smaller ponies are allowed by may only enter Classes 1, 2 and 3.
Riders must attain the age of 10 years by the date of the competition.  
Points won in BE Events will not apply.
Anyone entering Class 1 cannot enter Class 2. Anyone entering Class 4 cannot enter Class 5. Anyone entering Class 7 may not enter Class 8. Anyone entering Class 9 may not enter Class 10. 
Clear Round Show Jumping will be available at ODE class heights. Anyone entering ODE classes cannot do Clear Round Show Jumping until they have completed their ODE.

Payment Details & Event Fees

Online Entries may be made via our web site: www.snowballfarm.co.uk or by Post to Show Secretary, Snowball Farm, Dorney Wood Road, Burnham, Bucks SL1 8EH when completing debit/credit card details which must be signed. Entries must be accompanied by full payment. Incomplete entries will not be counted.
Telephone & email entries will not be accepted.
The Show Secretary must be informed of any changes to original entry of Rider or Horse/Pony. Change of Horse and Rider is a new entry and will be charged the full entry fee.

Entry Fees: ODE £60, Cross Country Pairs £55, Cross Country £35, Clear Round £7  
If space available, late entries subject to £5.00 extra per Class.
Paramedics: add £5.00 per rider.
Bibs: Printed numbers will be issued. Please make sure you bring your own bib. Competition bibs will be on sale at the event (subject to availability). Bibs must be worn on top of clothing/body protectors with number showing front and back.

To qualify for the National Final competitors need to be placed 1st – 3rd and go clear.
Eland Lodge National Hunter Trial Final to be held at Eland Lodge in September 2019
 

Withdrawals/Refunds

Withdrawals: Those who withdraw in writing before the closing date will have their entry fee, less an admin fee of £4.00 per Class refunded. Entry fees in any other circumstances will not be refunded. Online admin fees will not be refunded under any circumstances. All Competitors who withdraw for whatever reason, should inform the Show Secretary on 01628 666222 or by e-mail on shows@snowballfarm.co.uk.

Terms & Conditions

The competition is guided by BE rules. Competitors should make themselves aware of the rules. Smaller ponies are allowed but may only enter Classes 1, 2 and 3. Riders must attain the age of 10 years by the date of the competition.

Warm Up: No-one on foot in the warm-up arena. No leading/lungeing in the small all-weather arena. Anyone asked to leave the warm-up areas by a Steward must do so immediately. Please respect the jump flags. Warm-up can be found in the small all-weather arena (SJ), to the rear of the lorry park (SJ), beside the Dressage arenas (Dressage) and next to the XC start.

Correct riding attire must be worn in all classes and phases. Correctly fitted hard hat, manufactured to one of the current safety standards with BSI Kite mark, with no fixed brim, and with a three-point linkage properly adjusted and fastened, must be worn at all times when mounted at Snowball Farm. Hats must be tagged for all three phases. Hair must be kept no longer than collar length. No jewellery. Medical armbands and BETA-approved body protectors manufactured after 2000 must be worn by all those competing in Show Jumping and Cross Country.

Box and trailer parking is in the field opposite the Farm. Spectators are welcome but please park in the field opposite the Farm and not in the Farm car park which is reserved for Riding School clients. Competitors and their supporters must park in the Lorry Park and must stay away from the Riding School. Please obey the signs. Please keep children under close supervision. All dogs must be kept on non-extending leads at all times.

The ruling of the Judges, Fence Judges, Timekeepers and Stewards is final. A deposit of £15.00 must be lodged prior to an objection (in writing), which will be returned if the objection is upheld.

The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any Class for whatever reason they deem necessary, to disqualify any rider at any stage, to alter the schedule at any time. If the event is abandoned a £4.00 admin fee will be retained on all refunds. Any horse or pony, which is considered by a Judge or the Organisers to be unsound, unfit or unhealthy, will be excluded from further competition without any refund of entry fee.

No liability shall fall on the Organisers, Landowners, Judges and Officials in respect of any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused and all competitors are deemed to be liable to indemnify the said persons in respect of any such loss, damage or injury.
