Due to the increase in the number of reported cases of Equine Flu via the BEF & AHT we will be implementing the “within the last 6- month booster” as mandatory for all horses competing at West Wilts from 1 March 2019 till further notice.
Please note you MUST also leave 7 days after any Flu vaccine before competing.
We will accept annual boosters till this date unless the proximity of the virus changes.
A valid passport must accompany the horse to all competitions and be shown to the secretary BEFORE unloading. 9:30am Start. Class 1 - Pre-entries & Drawn Order – Times for Class 1 will be published on web site the day before competition - pre entry or entry on the day (late entry fee will apply) for classes 2 - 4. Approx start times will be published.
The course will only be available to walk on the day of the competition.

Late Entry Fee: £3.00 for all entries after midday 6 March
Run in accordance with the Rules of British Eventing. The course will be in the large outdoor arena and will consist of approx. 12 – 14 numbered obstacles all with faultable elements. The first half over of the course is over Show Jumps, and the second half over Cross Country style jumps which will be the timed section.
10 faults will be given for each knock-down
10 faults will be given for each refusal.
The 3rd refusal or the fall of horse or rider will be elimination.
For every commenced second in excess of the optimum time 1 time penalty will be given
For every commenced second in excess of 10 seconds under the optimum time 2 penalties will be given
The winner will be the competitor with the lowest number of penalties. In case of equality closest to the optimum time will win
Riders must dress in either full X-Country colours or Show Jumping attire but body protectors must be worn. No watches will be permitted.
Payment Details & Event Fees
Entries accepted in advance using our Secure Online Entry System only.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to West Wilts EC. You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.
Entry Fee: £18.00 per class.
There will be a £6 start fee per horse/rider combination (Max £12.00 per rider) which will cover the cost of the first aid and the judges
PRIZES: £18.00, £15, £9, £6 in the ratio of 1 prize for every 5 (completed) starters.
ROSETTES: 1st – 6th
Refunds - only if withdrawn before the close of entries or if replaced from a waiting list less £3.00 admin fee.
