Show Information

The Eventer Challenge is a ‘derby style’ competition with a section of 8-10 Show Jumps leading to 8-10 efforts over portable Cross Country fences and finishing over a slightly higher joker Show Jump. If you knock the joker fence down you will incur 6 penalties. Competitors will go straight from the Show Jumping into the Cross Country phase, where competitors must get as close to the optimum bogie time as they can.

The Sunshine Tour is a fun and exciting National Championship Series for unaffiliated and amateur competitors of all ages and abilities. The Championships are held on the ‘hallowed turf’ of The All England Showground at Hickstead from Thursday 13th – Sunday 16th September 2018. The Championship features: Dressage from Intro to Elementary, including Junior ‘Special’; Show Jumping from 30cm to 1.05m for minis, juniors & seniors; Eventers Challenge starting at 60cm through to 1m. To qualify: 1st to 4th placed in dressage, show jumping and 1st to 6th in eventers challenges. *Time allowed is twice the optimum time.

Body Protectors are compulsory for this competition and must meet be British Equestrian Trade Associate (BETA) approved and appropriately labelled level 3 body protector, manufactured in the year 2000 or after. Cross Country colours or show jackets should be worn with fawn, cream or white breeches. No jewellery is allowed.

Riding hat’s with no fixed peek must be worn and must reach at least one of the following standards: All PAS 015: 1998, BS EN1384: 1997 – Provided that they are BSI Kite marked or SEI. Snell E2001 plus Snell Label with chin strap fastened so as to prevent movement
