Show Information

 OPEN ARENA EVENTING  - OPEN TO PONY CLUB AND NON PONY CLUB RIDERS

The course will be built in two phases, first section of show jumps followed by simulated cross country fences/obstacles and may include ditches, coffins, angled rails, corners, bullfinches, banks and bounces.

BODY PROTECTORS compliant with current standards are compulsory and ALL RIDERS must comply with PC Rules 2019 for hats and body protectors ( see rules) and must present them to the secretary when collecting numbers.

Payment is secure and it goes directly to Eridge Pony Club.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.

Withdrawals/Refunds

 Refunds will only be given on receipt of a valid Veterinary or Doctor's Certificate

In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control £5 per competitor will be withheld to cover costs.

Terms & Conditions

 FORMAT OF COMPETITION

The competition will be judged as a Single Phase Showjumping competition ie the competitor will jump acourse of SJ fences and will continue immediately to a course of XC fences.  THE WINNER/WINNING TEAM shall the combination(s) completing the course nearest the optimum time with least penalties. PENALTIES: Each fence knocked down in first section -5 penalties. First run out/refusal in first section - 5 penalties. Second run out/refusal in first section - 10 penalties.  Third run out/refusal on whole course - Elimination. Each fence knocked down in XC section - 5 penalties Each refusal/run out in XC section - 10 penalties.  Fall of horse or rider - Elimination. Riders must not remount in arena after a fall and must be checked by First Aid before continuing to ride on the day. TIME PENALTIES - 1 penalty per second over the optimum time.  

TEAMS comprise either 3 or 4 combinations, best 3 scores to count.   A rider may onle compete once in a team but may be part of another team in that class on a different horse.  Horses may only compete once in a class and in a maximum of two classes. Team riders will be automatically entered in the individual competition

RULES

1 The Judge's decision is final

2 The Organisers reserve the right to refuse an entry, restrict entries and make alterations to entries it they deem necessary.

3 Hats must be worn, with chin strap fastened at all times when mounted. Body protectors are COMPULSORY.  Hats and body protectors must be presented to the secretary when collecting numbers to ensure they are compliant with PC Rules 2019 ( current standards) which can be found on pcuk.org/ Rules.  Please contact organisers if any queries  (Body protectors - minimum 2009 BETA Level 3)

4 No jewellery/ piercings to be worn

5 Please park as directed by stewards, no cars in lorry park.  No unattended horses to be left tied to trailers/lorries. Please clear up all hay/droppings/litter and do not muck out into lorry park. 

6 Dogs must be kept on short leads and are not allowed in  the arenas.  Please clear up after your dog.

7 Only 8 horses in warm up arena at any one time.

8 Health & Safety - the Organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.  For these measures to be effective everyone must take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards

9 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY - Legal Liability - save for the death or personal injury caused by negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are, in law, responsible neither the organisers, the Pony Club, any agent, employee or representative of these bodies nor Petley Wood EC and its representatives accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage,injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever
