Show Information

You may enter section R OR Section O in each class, but NOT both on the same horse.

Section R – Restricted
Members - Restricted to horse & rider combinations NOT to have won more than 15 RFRC dressage points.
Non Members - Restricted to horse & rider combinations NOT to have come 1st or 2nd in any dressage competitions..

Section O - Open
Any other combination with less than 49 BD points for preliminary, less than 124 BD points for novice and less than 199 BD points for elementary.

BD Walk & Trot Test
a) Bona-fide beginners (riders) never placed in a dressage test OR riders with young horses where the combination has not been placed in a dressage test
b) Once a combination has won this class on 2 occasions, further entries will be taken as HC only

Dress Code – All competitions.

Horse/Pony:
Need not be plaited, but should be clean and tidy.
No boots or bandages permitted – Dressage only
British Dressage approved tack only – Dressage only.

Rider:
Jodhpurs or breeches; cream, white, canary or beige. No other colours.
Jacket with a shirt & tie, or stock or RFRC sweatshirt or poloshirt (Order form available on line at www.rfrc.org.uk).
Gloves must be worn.
Long rubber/leather boots, or jodhpur boots with matching colour chaps or gaiters
Riding hats must be worn to the current BSEN1384 or PAS015 minimum standard.
Hair must not hang below the collar. Hair net will be required.

Payment Details & Event Fees

Entries in advance only. 

You can enter using our Secure Online Entry System.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Rockingham Forest Riding Club.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.

Members £12.00 per class, Non Members £15.00 per class.
An additional ‘one-off’ fee of £1.00 per rider payable for First Aid
Late entries taken, if space allows, add £2.00 per class
NB Late fees will be required for any entry not submitted by the entry deadline, without exception.
If you would like you score sheet and rosettes posted out to you we will require a payment of £1.25 (or provide your own S.A.E) 

Horse/rider combinations should enter either the Restricted or Open sections but not both.

We / BRC will automatically contact you about your membership: for example, to ensure you

Prize Information

Rosettes awarded for 1st – 6th in all sections.
Members Trophies
RFRC members will gain points towards dressage trophies awarded at the AGM.
POINTS - awarded to RFRC members only in all classes 1st highest placed 4 points 2nd highest placed 3 points 3rd highest placed 2 points 4th highest placed 1 point

Special Classes

Rockingham Forest Riding Club is taking part in the Retraining of Racehorses Riding Club Challenge. To be eligible to win and ROR rosette for the highest point scoring ex racehorse at our competitions please register with ROR at www.ror.org.uk and supply your ROR number and your horse's full racing name on our entry form. Rockingham Forest RC is also one of the ROR Regional leagues signing organisers. Please feel free to present your league performance sheet for signing at our competitions. For our club members with an ex racehorse we have the ROR Riding Club Challenge perpetual trophy in place - this will be awarded to the highest point scoring member with an ex racehorse at our award evening November 2019.

Terms & Conditions

1) It is a condition of entry that each competitor has read, understood and agreed to abide by these rules. 2) The organizers, and all persons connected with the event, accept no liability for any accident, damage, illness or loss of, or to, any horse, rider, spectator or any other persons or property whatsoever. 3) In the case of adverse weather conditions, it is the responsibility of the entrant to enquire if the event is postponed or cancelled. 4) Any competitor jumping any fence outside of the jumping arenas, other than the allocated practice fence will be disqualified. 5) The organizers reserve the right to refuse or refund entries. 6) Any objection must be lodged at the secretary’s box within 15 minutes of the end of the class, with a deposit of £10.00. The panel’s decision is final. If the objection is over-ruled, the deposit is not refundable. 7) Hair must not reach the collar. 8) No galloping is permitted outside the rings. 9) Competitors that have been eliminated must leave the Course at a walk. 10) We advise wearing body protectors at all times when mounted at shows and events, this is compulsory when competing at hunter trails. Air jackets can be an addition to a body protector. 11) Dogs must be kept on leads and under control at all times, unless securely left inside vehicles. Remember dogs will die if left in hot cars. 12) In the event of cancellation by RFRC, 80% of the entry fee will be refunded. 13) In the event of illness or injury No refunds will be given without the production of a Vet or GP letter. 14) PHOGRAPHER ATTENDING - if you do not wish your child to be photographed, please notify the Secretary upon entry. 15) No telephone entries will be accepted 16) No entry will be accepted without the correct remittance. 17) Please DO NOT text, call or email for times, they will be published ASAP. 18) Please leave adequate time to prepare for your class. 19) ALL Non-Members Must have their own public liability insurance. BRC members and BHS Gold members will be covered. 20) No Stopwatches or Head cams are permitted on the course.
