Show Information

This show is a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour Championships held at The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead from Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th September 2019. The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Dressage from Intro to Elementary, Show Jumping from Lead Rein to 1.05m; Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans, plus many more, Eventers Challenge from 60cm through to 1m.

 

Qualification: 1st – 4th in dressage, show jumping & showing and 1st-6th in eventers challenges.

Who Qualifies?

1st – 3rd place in each section of each class qualifies.     At least 60% must be achieved by all qualifiers.  If the first 3 placed have already qualified, the qualification goes down the line to the next best tests but those tests must be at least 60%.  If there are most than 10 entries in the class, 1st 2nd and 3rd qualify.  *The Best Junior also qualifies but the junior must achieve 60%

 

Please note:

It is the horse and rider combination that qualifies. No horse or rider substitutions will be allowed at the final. Horses and ponies may be ridden by two riders on the day but both riders must be CTR members and only consecutive classes may be entered e.g. prelim and novice. No horse may enter more than three classes at the championships.

Prize Information

Rosettes to 6th Place Open & Restricted
Any Horse and Rider combination which has come 1st or 2nd in a dressage competition more than 3 times does not qualify to ride in the restricted section.
Any Horse and Rider combination which has competed at Elementary Level or competed at Intermediate Horse Trials do not qualify to ride in the restricted section.

Special Classes

Bozeat will be running a Member Point system awarded at all Bozeat Events. Member Points are then accrued throughout the year as follows: 1st highest placed member 6 points 2nd highest placed member 5 points 3rd highest placed member 4 points 4th highest placed member 3 points 5th highest placed member 2 points 6th highest placed member 1 point Happy Riding

Withdrawals/Refunds

REFUND POLICY: 100% refund will be given for withdrawals before Closing Date.
No refund after the Closing date unless replaced in which case a refund will be subject to a £4 admin fee.
Entries received after Closing date will not be eligible for a refund.
In the event of illness or injury No refunds will be given without the production of a Vet or GP letter

Dressage Rules

 

·       It is a condition of entry that each competitor has read, understood and agreed to abide by these rules.

·       This competition will be run in accordance with British Riding Club Rules. 

·       The organisers & landowners do not accept any liability for damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators or personal property

·       Hard hats to current BSI Standards must be worn at all times when mounted

·       The Organizers reserve the right to alter, add to or cancel any Class, and to refuse any entry without stating a reason.

·       No Misuse of the Whip or equipment will be allowed

·       Horses/Ponies must be 4yrs old and over

·       Horses must not be left unattended whilst tied up to your lorry/trailer

·       The Judge’s decision is final.

·       Objections must be made within 15 minutes of the offence and must be accompanied by £15, which will be refunded if the objection is sustained.

·       Entries taken Online in advance or On the Day with a £2 surcharge per entry

·       Please remove all droppings/hay from the lorry park

·       An adult must supervise children at all times

·       All dogs must be kept on the lead and under control at all times

·       Hair above the hair collar

·       Horses/Ponies Need not be plaited, but should be clean and tidy

·       No boots or bandages permitted

·       British Dressage approved tack only

·       PHOTOGRAPHER ATTENDING - if you do not wish your child to be photographed, please notify the Secretary upon entry

·       You do not need to be a member of a British Riding Club to enter this competition but it is strongly recommended that if you are not you carry some form of 3rd Party Public Liability Insurance.
