THIS EVENT COMMENCES AT 9am PROMPT PLEASE MAY WE REMIND COMPETITORS PLANNING TO ATTEND EVENTS AT SOUTHVIEW OF THE FOLLOWING RULE AS REGARDS HORSE VACCINATION As Per British Show Jumping Rule 42.5 Flu vaccinations are mandatory for all registered horses and ponies and they must be in possession of a valid flu vaccination certificate. It is the owner's responsibility to ensure that the horse's vaccinations are up to date and correctly recorded on the diagrammatic vaccination record. Spot checks will be regularly carried out at shows. The horse/pony must have received two injections for primary vaccination against equine influenza given no less than 21 days and no more than 92 days apart. Only these two injections need to have been given before a horse/pony can compete in competitions. In addition, a first booster injection must be given no less than 150 days and no more than 215 days after the second injection of the primary vaccination. Subsequently, booster injections must be given at intervals of not more than one year apart. THIS RULE IS APPLICABLE TO ALL HORSES WHETHER REGISTERED WITH AN ASSOCIATION OR NOT AND TO ALL EVENTS AND ATTENDANCES, INCLUDING PRIVATE HIRE Please do not bring any horse to the venue which has been vaccinated for flu in the last seven days, or which is known to have been in contact with any potentially infected animals, or which is in any way showing any signs of any potential illness. It is the horse owner’s and rider’s responsibility to ensure that they are fully compliant with these regulations and requirements. ** PER DEFRA REGULATIONS, PLEASE CARRY YOUR HORSE PASSPORT AND NOTE THAT SPOT CHECKS ON VACCINATION CERTIFICATES MAY BE EXECUTED ** (FEI regulations re vaccine frequency will apply for international events only)

Rule 316. For registered horses in grade C which have not won a total of 125 points, (unless Age Rule applies), to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.
The first 8 horses qualify for the final, held at the Blue Chip Winter Championships. Qualification does not pass down the line. Qualifiers must jump clear in the first round. There will be dual qualification of double clears for the Senior British Novice first round (Age rule applies).
Please note that in accordance with the amendment to BS Rule 316 all 4yr old horses are now eligible regardless of points won, but the horse must be 4yrs old in the year of the Final ie 2019 to be able to compete in the Championship. Therefore any horses which are currently 4yrs old and have won more than 125 points are unable to qualify in any qualifiers held from 1st October 2018 to 31st December 2018. Qualification does not pass down the line.
Riders who qualify must submit their details at www.bluechipchamps.co.uk to register their qualification.

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.
a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 314.6.
b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2014 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Discovery Final - in accordance with Rule 314.6.
Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round.
Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in and attend four Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification.
If combined with an open:
In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the Discovery section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded.
In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters.

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 375 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 312.6
(b) For all horses born on or after 1st January 2013, irrespective of Points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Newcomers Final - in accordance with Rule 312.6.
Qualifies for: Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round.
Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers First Round competitions in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in a Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). To obtain a double clear qualification, even if the horse is the only clear round, it must jump a jump-off round and jump clear to gain a double clear round.
If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

Foxhunter section:
(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 310.6
(b) For all registered horses born on or after 1 January 2012, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify.
Four Double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive.
Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2018 are not eligible for qualification to the 2019 Championship.
Open section:
For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.
If combined with an open:
In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.
