Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in and attend four Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.
If combined with an open:
In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the Discovery section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded.

Riders who have ever competed as a team member of any Senior International Team (4* or 5* Nations Cup in the last 10 years, World, European Championships & Olympic Games) are not eligible. Pony Riders, Children, Juniors and Young Riders who have ever competed in Nations Cup/International Team Events and European Championships in the last five years are not eligible (excluding Veterans and Para Teams).
Qualifies for: 1.05m National Amateur Second Rounds.
Qualifying period: 1st September-31st August inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those horse/rider combinations which jump clear in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least five 1.05m National Amateur First Round competitions held in the qualifying period, will qualify to compete in the the respective height classes at the National Amateur Championships. Entries are accepted on the day or you can enter in advance using the Secure Online Entry System.
Pre-entry for the first class in both rings is recommended via our on-line entry system or by fax.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Weston Lawns.

Weston Lawns Affiliated Members are entitled to a discount of £1.50 off per class.
BSJA Tickets to ride are available at a cost of £4 each.
Entries in all affiliated classes are confined to horses registered with the British Showjumping rule 79. No responsibility will be accepted by the organisers for anything that may happen to competitors, onlookers or their property, servants or anyone in connection with the event. It shall be considered a condition of entry that each entrant agrees to indemnify the organisers against any legal action arising thereto. The expense of any veterinary services rendered either on or after the Show must be born by the competitor or owner of stock. The decision of the Judges is final. If any person wishes to lodge a complaint, this must be done so in writing within 30 minutes of the incident along with a deposit of £50 (which will be returned if the complaint is upheld). The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, amend the details of the schedule should it become necessary, with prior permission from British Showjumping or to cancel any class with insufficient entries. Once a class has been entered, refunds will not be given unless in accordance with rule 79.4. In accordance with British Showjumping rule 82.21, no member shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, leesee, authorised agent or rider to compete (or being prepared to compete) without taking adequate precautions to ensure other members of the public are not put at risk. In the event of insufficient starters, British Showjumping rule 76.6 will apply. In the event of classes being over subscribed entries may be closed, without further notice. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and be cleaned up after! British Showjumping membership cards must be presented at time of entry. British Showjumping tickets to ride are available at a cost of £4 each. Entries will not be accepted – under any circumstances – without payment. Prize money will not be paid until payment has been received for entry and must be collected on the day. Any prize money not collected on the day, will be forfeited. Children must not be left of the premises unattended! If you are competing at Weston Lawns and have travelled alone, you must notify the Secretary and leave contact details in case of an emergency. Horses and Ponies must not be left tied up to the lorry / trailer unattended. Stables must be left clean and tidy with banks up. Only stables booked may be used. Rule 164.1a will be applied. (45 Second Count Down will be in operation) All competitors should make sure that when at the event they are carrying a valid passport for their horse (for identification). Any point not covered may be referred to the Secretary, whose decision is final. Drawn orders will take place at 4pm the day prior to the competition, withdrawals after this time will be charged the full entry fee. Drawn orders will be posted on our web site by 5pm the day prior to the competition. JUNIOR MEMBERS COMPETING ON HORSES ARE ONLY ABLE TO DO SO FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE CALENDAR YEAR IN WHICH THE AGE OF 12 IS REACHED *Classes 25, 26, 27 & 28 will be Pre-entry and drawn order. However, entries may possibly be accepted on the day for qualified horses before 9.00am, providing that pre entries for each class are less than 60. Any entries taken on the day must compete first in the drawn order. Once entries reach 60 in total on the day, before 9.00am the class will be closed. Only cardboard, shavings or woodchip can be used in stables. No bedding is included in cost of stabling. A deposit of £10 per box is required, payable in advance. This will be refunded following inspection by the Stable Manager to ensure that the stable has been left mucked out, clean, tidy & in good repair. All damages will be charged for. Stable bookings are only accepted on this form and full payment MUST be received prior to arrival. Stabling is on a first come first served basis, with additional stables being brought in for our larger shows. The additional cost for hired in boxes will be passed on to the hirer. All prices are subject to change. Rules for Horse Boots - For Talent Seekers, Newcomers 2nd Rounds and Foxhunter 2nd Rounds and national age classes. The total maximum weight of equipment allowed to be added to a Horse’s leg, front or hind (single or multiple boots, fetlock rings etc) is 500g. All hind leg protections must have a maximum interior length of 16cm and minimum exterior width of 5cm. The inside protection must be smooth, the fixations must be non elastic Velcro fasteners, no hooks or straps may be used. The rounded rigid part of the protection must be placed around the inside of the fetlock. No additional elements may be used in conjunction with the protection. Bandages are not permitted. Failure to comply will incur disqualification. Club Rules and Conditions Open to ALL, however, National British Showjumping members are not eligible for points. Unaffiliated Riders Jump today and regain your points if you join as a club member within 7 days Eligibility - For any horse/ rider, pony/rider combination without a registered result in National Amateur 90cm, British Novice, Pony British Novice, Stepping Stones and above in the last 3 years. Unaffiliated competitors can compete without being a Club Member. Competitors can register as Club Members up to 7 days after the competition and regain points won. Any age rider on ponies (adults eligible to ride ponies). Children can ride horses from the beginning of the calendar year in which the age of 12 is reached (FEI Rules). Faults: Knock down – 4 faults, First refusal – 4 faults, Second refusal (anywhere on the course) – 4 faults, Third refusal (anywhere on the course) – Elimination Fall (anywhere on the course) – Elimination All other faults as per British Showjumping rule book. Please note: Horses and Ponies may only enter once in any one competition. Club League Points will be awarded as follow: (The number of placing’s will be dependent on the number of starters; 1 in every 5 starters will determine how many placing’s will be given. 1st - 12 points, 2nd – 10 points, 3rd – 8 points, 4th – 6 points, 5th – 4 points, 6th – 3 points. 3 points will be awarded to all double clears. (Prize winners will also receive an additional 3 points if a double clear is achieved.
