The course: This ride comprises approximately 10 miles across private farmland, woodland, old tram and railway lines, hills and valleys with no roadwork. Please note there will be livestock on the course. The ride may be ridden in groups of up to 10 riders. The ride takes on average 1.5-2 hours to complete. This ride is NOT a race.

Payment Details & Event Fees
Enter online @ http://www.bicesterridingclub.org.uk/events-schedules/event-calendar or send a completed entry form with a S.A.E to: Liv Rand, 26 Worminghall Road, Ickford, Aylesbury, Bucks. HP18 9JD Cheques should be made payable to Ashendon Playing Fields Association. Requests to ride together must be made at the time of entry. Riders will be notified by email of their start times or, for postal entries, by post .

Entry fee: Each rider pays an entry fee of £25 which includes paramedic cover.

Terms & Conditions

1. Riding hats conforming to current standards must be worn and correctly fastened at all times when mounted: • PAS 015 (1998 or 2011) or VG1 01.040 (2014-12) which must have BSI Kitemark • ASTM F1163 (2004a or 04a onwards) which must have SEI mark • SNELL E2001 which must have official SNELL label and number • AS/NZS 3838 (2006 onwards) which must have SAI Global mark 2. The wearing of body protectors and/or air jackets is optional, but is strongly recommended. 3. The minimum age for horses and ponies is 4 years. 4. Riders under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. 5. Dogs are welcome but must be on a short, non-extendable lead at all times, and you must clean up after your dogs. Dogs are not allowed to accompany riders. 6. Instructions from stewards must be obeyed. Riders should ride with consideration for others and the safety of all around. Anyone disobeying instructions will be asked to leave the course and no refund will be issued. 7. Participation in the event is entirely at the riders’ risk and they are expected to have the appropriate insurance cover, together with public liability insurance 8. Entrants are personally responsible for ensuring that they and their mounts, together with accompanied juniors, are competent to participate. 9. There are no restrictions on passing in an orderly manner but instructions from marshals and stewards must be strictly observed. 10. The maximum number in a group is 10. 11. The organisers accept no liability for any loss, injury or damage to any equine, person or their property and equipment, however caused. 12. If for any reason the event cannot take place, a refund will be issued less £5 to cover expenses. 13. In the event of cancellation or postponement, riders must contact the secretary within 14 days of the original event date (29 April 2018) to claim a refund. 14. Refunds, minus £5 admin fee, will be issued to riders withdrawing, only on receipt of a doctor’s or vet’s certificate. 15. Riders can be exchanged at no extra fee with the correctly signed entry form. 16. Individuals or groups will start at intervals from the collecting ring with the last rider departing by 12.30pm. Failure to be at the collecting ring at the appointed start time may mean that the rider(s) have to wait until all other riders have gone before starting. 17. The committee accept no liability for any damage caused to persons, horses or property by any defect in the course arising from any of the following: wilful damage, negligence of any rider or others, abnormal weather conditions, failure to follow the Committee’s or any official’s instructions (oral or written). 18. The decision of the committee is final at all times. 19. By booking on this event you agree to the Rules and Conditions. Photographs will be taken on the day and may be used for promotional purposes, please contact the committee prior to the event if you are not willing for any images you appear in to be used for this purpose.
