FUN EVENTING: The obstacles will consist of a mixture of show jumps and cross-country style rustic fences. The whole course will be timed from beginning to end and faults (4 faults for any knock-downs, 4 faults for 1st refusal, 8 faults for 2nd refusal, elimination for 3rd refusal. Fall, elimination) will be carried forward over the whole course. It is recommended that all competitors wear a body protector. Classes will be split into horses and ponies, if entries exceed 25 in a class.
Payment Details & Event Fees
Entries are accepted on the day or you can enter in advance using the Secure Online Entry System.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Weston Lawns.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.
Membership runs from Jan 1st to Dec 31st each year (£10 per year or £2 per visit) and is a REQUIREMENT for competing at our unaffiliated events
Fun Eventing Entry Fee: £14 per class.
Prize Money £20, £15, £8. Rosettes to 6th for both horse and pony sections.
WINTER ‘LEADING RIDER’ POINTS SERIES
We will be running a points table for the leading horse and rider combination at each of the heights and dressage test levels. The series will run through all of the above dates. A sash, championship rosette and numnah will be presented to the leading rider at the end of the series.
All the above classes are open to horses and ponies and classes will be split if entries exceed 25.
All course are built on ‘horse’ distances
Competitors must ensure that they warm up in the correct collecting ring – please note that we may be running other competitions on the same day, in the interests of safety the collecting rings for each event will be separate. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in elimination.
All Competitors must become a minimum of a bronze member of Weston Lawns. Membership forms are available on the day from the office.
Classes will be run under BD (dressage) and BE (fun Eventing) rules.
Dress code; competitors are expected to wear light coloured breeches and either a hacking or black tailored jacket for the dressage. Competitors may wear cross-country attire or show jumping attire for the fun Eventing class and body protectors are recommended.
Entries will not be accepted – under any circumstances – without payment.
Prize money will not be paid until payment has been received for entry, and must be collected on the day of competition. Any monies not collected, will be forfeited.
Children must not be left of the premises unattended!
Horses and Ponies must not be left tied up to the lorry / trailer unattended.
Stables must be left clean and tidy with banks up. Only stables booked may be used.
If you are competing at Weston Lawns and have travelled alone, you must notify the Secretary and leave contact details in case of an emergency
