DRESSAGE CLASSES: These will be run across two arenas and will be outdoors away from the show jumping warm up!
Non Pony Club Members Welcome

Teams from Pony clubs or riding clubs to consist of four riders, the best three scores to count. All team members must be entered as individuals. Competitors jump only once for individual and team. All team entries to be made by branch DCs or team managers.

We hope to run all jumping classes except classes 3 & 4 as single phase depending upon the number of entries we have. In the event that the classes are very full then we may need to change the format to two phase – competitors will be informed before the start of the class.

Payment Details & Event Fees
ENTRY FEES:
Classes 1, 2, and 5, £12.00 (£10 for SHPC members)
Classes 3,4,6,7,8,9 and 10 £14 (£12 SHPC members)
Teams £8.00 per team (in addition to individual entry)

There will be an additional fee of £4.00 per competitor for Paramedics.

Prize Information
AWARDS: An unmounted presentation will be held for each class as soon as the results are available. Please could prize winners present themselves in correct riding dress to receive their awards.
TROPHIES: Keeper trophies in all classes
ROSETTES: to 6th place in all classes for individuals and 4th place for teams

Dengie Qualifiers

Terms & Conditions
1. The competition will be run under Pony Club Rules and the Pony Club Dengie show jumping and dressage rules 2. The decision of the judges and stewards is final. They reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any part of the competition, or to refuse any entry without stating a reason. 3. Objections must be made in writing and handed to the Secretary within 30 minutes of the incident, together with a fee of £100, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld. 4. No horse or pony under 5 years may compete. 5. It is regretted that entry fees can only be refunded after the closing date upon production of a Medical or Veterinary Certificate. In the event of cancellation the entry fees, less the retention of £2 to cover costs will be returned on receipt of a stamped self addressed envelope. 6. Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor the Pony Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. 7. The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health, safety and welfare of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and must obey the instructions of the Organiser and all the Officials and Stewards. 8. All competitors must be suitably dressed in correct riding attire and hats approved to PAS 015;1998, EN1384:1996, BS EN 1384:1997 with BSI Kitemark, Snell E2001 with official Snell label and number, AS/NZS 3838:1998 or the AS/NZS 3838:2003 standards and shall be worn correctly fastened at all times when mounted. It is strongly recommended that body protectors are worn when jumping. Only blunt spurs without rowels or sharp edges may be worn (Pony Club members must have their DC’s written permission). If the spur is curved the curve must be downwards. No Hackamores allowed. Riding/Jodhpur boots must be worn for all classes 9. Pony Club members must have written permission from their DC to wear spurs. 10. Dogs must be kept on short leads at all times 11. Riders are requested to ride sensibly at all times and to respect the land upon which they are riding. Anyone galloping a horse on the showground may be asked to leave. 12. Entry to this competition constitutes acceptance of the rules and conditions as set out in the schedule Paramedic Services, Refreshments and Photographer on site during competition hours.
