Animals eligible for the Restricted Heritage Leading Rein and Heritage First Ridden Classes must NOT have been placed 1st to 8th at the R.H.I.S (except Pretty Polly) or H.O.Y.S or Olympia in the Heritage Leading Rein and Heritage First Ridden Classes in 2015/2016/2017

CHAPS (UK) Winter Restricted Qualifier
Info:
From the class eight animals (i.e. two per category) may qualify from the class placings:-
Non-Native Horse (exceeding 15hh) to be shown plaited and trimmed and to be ridden by the judge at the Final.
Non-Native Pony (15hh and under) to be shown plaited and trimmed and to perform an individual show at the Final.
Native/Traditional/Cob/Show Cob Type Horse (exceeding 14.2hh) to be shown either with full name, tail and feather or hogged and trimmed as appropriate, to be ridden by the Judge at the Final.
Native/Traditional/Cob/Show Cob Type Pony (14.2hh and under) to be shown either with full name, tail and feather or hogged and trimmed as appropriate, to perform an individual show at the Final.
(Should the class be split, each category as above must be complied with).
The Finals will be held under the auspices of CHAPS (UK) Rules and Regulations.
The judges for the qualifier classes may be selected from BSPS or CHAPS(UK) approved panel of judges and will be instructed NOT to ride any exhibit in the qualifiers;these will be judged on conformation and individual show.At the championships, which will be split into four categories, the ride & conformation judges will be selected from CHAPS (UK) approved panel judges and will be instructed to ride only the non-native horse class and the native/traditional/cob horse class;the non-native pony and the native/traditional/cob pony sectionswill perform individual shows only.
BOTH THE OWNER AND THE RIDER OF ANY EXHIBIT NEED NOT BE FULLY PAID-UP MEMBERS OF CHAPS (UK) AT THE TIME OF COMPETITION, NOR MUST THE ANIMAL BE REGISTERED; BUT TO VALIDATE THE QUALIFICATION, BOTH MEMBERSHIP AND REGISTRATION MUST BE IN PLACE WITH CHAPS (UK) AT THE TIME OF ENTERING THE RELEVANT YEARS’ FINALS AND BOTH SECTIONS OF THE QUALIFIER CARD MUST BE RETURNED AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE CARD. MEMBERSHIP/REGISTRATION FROM CHAPS (UK) ADMIN, 1 McLAREN COTTAGE, ABERTYSSWG, RHYMNEY, TREDEGAR, NP22 5BH. ALL STALLIONS MUST BE GRADED WITH CHAPS (UK) IN ORDER TO COMPETE IN THESE CLASSES. Exhibits not to have qualified for HOYS in the current and previous year in which the Finals will be held, (e.g. for 2018 Finals the horse or pony must not have qualified for HOYS in either 2016 or 2017. The 2 highest placed from each height/type category may qualify.
