Rule 316. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6 For registered horses in grade C which have not won a total of 125 points, (unless Age Rule applies), to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. The first 8 horses qualify for the final, held at the Blue Chip Winter Championships. Qualification does not pass down the line. Qualifiers must jump clear in the first round. There will be dual qualification of double clears for the KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice first round (Age rule applies). Please note that in accordance with the amendment to BS Rule 316 all 4yr old horses are now eligible regardless of points won, but the horse must be 4yrs old in the year of the Final ie 2018 to be able to compete in the Championship. Therefore any horses which are currently 4yrs old and have won more than 125 points are unable to qualify in any qualifiers held from 1st October 2017 to 31st December 2017. Qualification does not pass down the line. Riders who qualify must submit their details at www.bluechipchamps.co.uk to register their qualification.

Rule 314 Horses / ponies may only compete in one section. Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 314.6. b) For all horses that are five years or under at the year that the final is going to be held, irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Discovery Final - in accordance with Rule 314.6 Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in and attend four Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

Horses / ponies may only compete in one section. Newcomers: (a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 375 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 312.6 (b) For all registered horses that are six years or under at the year that the final is going to be held, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Senior Newcomers Final - in accordance with rule 312.6. Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Newcomers Second Rounds. Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive. 1.10m Open: For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify. Four Double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive. Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2017 are not eligible for qualification to the 2018 Championship. Open section: For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.
