Show Information

Taking your horse away to camp is a fun way to meet up with likeminded riders and intensively work on yourself and horse.

The usual format of Caroline’s 3 day camp is;

Day 1

Arrive before 12pm in time for lunch where we can all introduce ourselves. The first session will be polework/gridwork.  The first group will ride at 2pm for an hour and the other groups will follow on with the last session finishing at 5pm. Dinner will approx 7pm.

Day 2

Breakfast together usually from 7.30am. The morning session will be show jumping a course, first group will ride at 9am and the other groups will follow on with lunch from 12.30pm. Riding starts again at 2pm and will be dressage test practice (please learn a test of your choice and be warmed up ready to perform your test at your given time followed by work on areas that need it) finishing at 5/6pm.

Day 3

Breakfast together usually from 7.30am. First group starts at riding at 9am which will be Cross Country so the session will be for an hour and half, the other groups to follow on as before. Camp finishes after your Cross Country session although a sandwich lunch will often be provided.

It would be very useful, if you have an appropriate device, to ask someone from a different group to film your ridden sessions as so much can be learnt from watching it back.
