To enter the Clear Round please purchase your ticket from the Secretary.  Clear Round will run time permitting. Entries taken on a first-come-first-served basis.

Clear Round numbers and Rider numbers must be put up on the board with the Steward.
Numbers will not be called. If you are not present the next entry will go in and you will go tot the bottom of the list.  Showjumping competitors take precedence over Clear Round competitors in the warm-up and in the collecting ring.

Show Information

BS Club & Unaffiliated Showjumping 2017
Including qualifiers for Dengie Pony Club, UK Riders and Sunshine Tour.
Outdoors on all weather arena.  Two phase.  Rosettes to 7th place.  Run under British Showjumping rules.
Competitors are responsible for making themselves aware of the rules of the competition and the qualifiers.
Classes: 60cm, 70cm, 80cm, 90cm, 95cm and 100cm.  BS Club classes: 70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 100cm.
Entries close Monday 27 March 2017 at 5pm.  Late entries and Entries on the day subject to £2.00 late entry fee.

Showjumping classes will be run as Two Phase, whereby if the competitor goes clear in the first round they will continue immediately to jump off round against the clock without a bell being rung.

Class 1 and 2: Horse/pony not tohave been placed in BS showjumping affiliated competition.  Competitors entering the Mini may not enter Classes 4, 5 and 6.  Competitors entering the Minimus may not enter Classes 5 and 6. 

British Showjumping dress code is applicable in all classes.  Correctly fitting hard hat manufactured to one of the minim current standards, such as PAS015, with BSI Kit mark, with a three-point linkage properly adjusted and fastened, must be worn at all times when mounted at Snowball Farm.  We strongly recommend that competitors wear body protectors for jumping.  All children must wear body protectors while jumping.
Horses and ponies must be 4 years old or over.  No stallions without specific permission.

Dogs must be kept on non-extendable leads and under control at all times.
Please horses and ponies well away from the Riding School.
Spectators are welcome but please keep children under close supervision and park int he horse box/trailer park.  No show parking in the Riding School Car Park.

Entries in advance or on the day, online entries preferred. Telephone & E-mail entries will not be accepted.

Special Classes

 Competitors must indicate whether they are Junior or Senior and riding a Horse or Pony.  If Junior (under 16) please give age.  This is so classes and qualifiers can be correctly organised.

Competitors are responsible for making themselves aware of the rules for the competition and qualifiers.

British Showjumping Club: Classes 2, 3, 4 and 6 are open to British Showjumping Club members.  Riders do not have to be British Showjumping Club members before they enter.  Riders who gain points need to register as a Club Member within 7 days of the show for their points to be counted.  Children may rider horses in the calendar year they reach 12yrs old.  Any age rider may ride a pony.  Ponies classed as not exceeding 148cms.  Horses classes as exceeding 148cms.  Classes are split for horses and ponies.  Club league points will be awarded in Rider's own Regional League tables.  To horse/pony and rider combinations points will be awarded as follows: 1st: 12pts; 2nd: 10pts; 3rd: 8pts; 4th: 6pts; 5th: 4pts; 6th: 3pts.  3 points will be awarded for all double clear rounds.  For more information visit: www.britishshowjumping.co.uk/membership/club-membership/club-membership

Withdrawals/Refunds

The Show Secretary must be informed of any changes to original entry of Rider or Horse/Pony.  Change of Rider and Horse/Pony is not allowed.

Those who withdraw in writing before the closing date will have their entry fee, less an administration fee of £4 per class refunded.  Entry fees in any other circumstances will not be refunded unless a class is cancelled.  Fees for entering on-line are non-refundable.   

Terms & Conditions

1. Box and trailer parking is in the field opposite the farm. 2. Horses and ponies must be 4 years old or over. No stallions without specific permission. 3. British Showjumping Dress Code is applicable in all classes. We strongly recommend that competitors wear body protectors for jumping. All children must wear body protectors while jumping. 5. Warm Up Areas: no-one on foot allowed in warm up areas. No lungeing/leading in SJ warm-up arena. No more than 6 horses in the SJ warm-up arena at any one time. Competitors must leave the warm-up areas if asked to do so by a steward/official. Additional SJ warm-up to the rear of Trailer/Lorry park (ground permitting). 6. The show jumping will be run under British Show Jumping Rules. Classes will run as for Two Phase. 7. As this competition is designed to encourage unaffiliated combinations, fully paid up British Showjumping affiliated combinations of horse and rider may enter, but must ride HC in Classes 1, 2, 3 and 4; Classes 5, 6, are open to all. Please refer to rules for individual Qualifiers. 8. The judges’ and organisers’ decision is final. Any objection must be made in writing with a £15 deposit, returnable if the objection is upheld. 9. The Organisers reserve the right to alter the schedule at any time, to amalgamate/cancel classes with insufficient entries. The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any Class for whatever reason they deem necessary, to disqualify any rider at any stage, to alter the schedule at any time. Should the event be abandoned then a £4.00 admin fee will be retained on all refunds. 10. No liability shall fall on the Organisers, Landowners, Judges and Officials in respect of any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused and all competitors are deemed to be liable to indemnify the said persons in respect of any such loss, damage or injury. 11. Dogs must be kept on non-extendable leads and under control at all times. 12. Please keep horses/ponies well away from the Riding School. 13. Spectators are welcome but please keep children under close supervision and park in the horse box/trailer park.
