The sole criterion for this class is the elegance of the picture presented by horse/ pony and rider, and the way of going of horse/pony. Detailed inspection of the
rider’s period costume is not required. Fancy dress is not permitted. Competitors are required to walk, trot. Canter is optional. No individual show required, but the judge may ask small groups of 3 or 4 riders to give short displays. Competitors may produce a brief resume about their costumes for the commentator.

The RB Equestrian Chiltern and Thames Rider Championships
The RB Equestrian Chiltern and Thames Rider Championships are aimed at competitive amateur rid-ers, aspiring professionals and professionals with novice horses who want to compete and have the opportunity of riding at a championship show. We have been running our championships since1997 and they have become more and more popular each year.
All riders who want to be eligible to qualify must be CT Rider Members. New memberships for the 2015 season are now on sale and can be purchased on line by visiting www.chilternrider.co.uk or by ringing our offices on 01582 748984. You should enter the number on the entry form for every class for which you wish to qualifier.
Failure to do so will result in failure to qualify. For full rules please see the website before competing

Wheatley Horse Show Rules
Please note: Further rules apply to the CTR Qualifying classes
No claims will be entertained for anything which may happen to Competitors, their servants, on-lookers, horses, vehicles or property in connection with or arising from the Show.
In all events the Judge's decision is final. Competitors MUST follow the judge’s instructions direct-ly, failure to do so will result in expulsion from class and repeated failure could result in the com-petitor being excluded from competing in that ring (no monies refunded).
Any objection must be made in writing with a deposit of £25.00 (refundable if objection is upheld), within 15 minutes of incident or completion of a class, and handed to the show secretary.
Suitable Riding Attire must be worn at all times. Body protectors are acceptable in all classes. EVERYONE MOUNTED, whether a competitor or not, must wear protective headgear conforming to PAS 015, BSEN 1364, ASTMF1163 Standard SNEL which includes a permanently fitted, non-detachable retaining harness, secured to the shell at more than two points. Such headgear must be worn properly secured.
The Organisers reserve the right to refuse or reject any entry and to withdraw or amend any of the prizes offered and cancel any class at their discretion.
Your age is as on the day of the show, birth certificate may be asked for.
No horses or ponies under 4 years of age to be ridden on the show ground.
No money will be refunded for competitors unable to compete due to classes running consecutive-ly. Moneys may be transferred to other classes. No entry fee will be refunded, except on produc-tion of a medical or veterinary certificate within 2 days, less £3.00 administration fee.
The Judges reserve the right to disqualify any Rider, Horse or Pony found to be entered in an event for which they are not eligible, or to eliminate any unsound or unfit horse/pony from the com-petition.
Any person seen ill-treating a Horse, Pony or Dog will be asked to leave.
A compulsory fee of £4.00 per competitor will be paid for First Aid Cover. No competitor will be al-lowed to take part in the Show if this fee has not been paid.
Combinations who have qualified for HOYS, Royal International Horse Show, Olympia and similar competitions or compete/produce professionally and/or at County level are not eligible for Wheat-ley Horse Show. This show is aimed at keen and competitive amateurs, NOT professionals. Please Contact Organisers if you wish to enter any classes Hors Concours.
Horses can easily be frightened and can be dangerous. Members of the public are requested to keep clear from horse areas/lanes and to avoid behaviour which might alarm horses.
All dogs to be kept on non extending leads.
Young children to be kept under close control of an adult please.
Riders are required to ride sensibly at all times and horses must only use the areas designated for them (walk ways collecting rings etc.) NO GALLOPING and NO SKIPPING OUT boxes or trailers onto the showground please.
Any person allowing their vehicle to be towed does so at their own risk.
Horse passports will not be checked by the organisers but you are reminded that you are required by law to carry these while travelling / transporting horses and ponies.
In the event we need to cancel or postpone the show information will be posted on www.bicesterridingclub.org.uk All entry fees paid will be held over to rescheduled show date unless competitors contact organisers to do otherwise within 3 weeks of original show date
