Notes:
The Horse Trials organised by Jan Cottam is a super event, very friendly team and good trade stands.
Course Facilities:
XC :- Goring Heath`s course is set in Oxfordshire farmland, making use of natural terrain, hedges and woodland. There is a variety of well built fences, plus some new ones resulting in good standard Pre-Novice and Novice courses. Both courses are undulating . The ground is old turf which will be aerovated if necessary.
Riders Comments:
All courses ride well with a super water complex. Horses need to be quite fit as the going is hilly but well designed making use of natural obstacles and really making it feel like a XC should be!

Directions:
Goring Heath is not on the map, but is situated half a mile off the road between Woodcote & Whitchurch on Thames. From M4 leave @J12 and turn towards Theale & Pangbourne. From the north approach via Oxford & A4074. Please NOTE it will be signposted, but Goring Heath is NOT Goring on Thames. 12’0" BRIDGE with 7.5 tonne weight limit at Pangbourne. 7.5 tonne weight limit at Goring on Thames. Tall vehicles and HGV's via Reading, Henley and Woodcote. Becareful of the roads approaching the Horse trials as they are narrow and with overhanging trees - DO NOT miss the turning as it is a real pain to turn around! There is also a narrow Toll bridge just after you have gone over the river - approach with care, the toll is manned but it is best to have some cash handy.
